Crontab + Permissions

Postby mfrancis75 on Wed Oct 28, 2009 11:24 pm

Howdy all,

I am trying to get a PHP script running via the cron. Two things of note:

1) Under C-Panel, I get the following message before I choose my cron experience - "/usr/bin/crontab permissions are wrong (6755). Please set to 4755."

2) After setting my script to run (php -q /path/to/my/file/cron.php), I get the following emailed to me - "You must enter a valid login ID and password to access this resource"

I am assuming they are related? Can someone tell me how to set my crontab permissions to 4755?

Cheers,

Matt

Hey Matt,

These two likely are not related - to address the first issue could you please reply (or send me a PM) with your domain name or username. For the second issue reply (or of course PM me) with the path to the script so I can take a little closer look.
